Wisdom is Better than Riches (Part 3)


“Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.” (Proverbs 3:13-15)


Another inspiring true story is about a man named R.G. LeTourneau, a 20th-century American businessman and inventor.


LeTourneau's story demonstrates that wisdom and a strong relationship with God are more valuable than riches. Despite being a successful entrepreneur and inventor, he prioritized his faith and generosity.


At one point, LeTourneau gave 90% of his income to Christian causes and lived on the remaining 10%. He believed that "if you give to God's work, He will take care of your needs."


LeTourneau's commitment to generosity and faith led to numerous blessings. He founded LeTourneau Inc., a leading manufacturer of heavy equipment, and developed numerous patents for innovative machines and processes. He also founded LeTourneau University in Texas, which remains a prominent Christian institution.


LeTourneau wrote several books, including "Molding Marked Men" and "God's Workman," sharing his spiritual insights and business wisdom. His life and legacy continue to inspire generations to integrate faith and work, demonstrating the impact of Christian values in the marketplace.


LeTourneau's story shows that wisdom, generosity, and a strong relationship with God are more valuable than riches. By prioritizing his faith and serving others, he experienced a life of remarkable blessing and impact. 


Our lives will be far more impactful and honorable when we pursue wisdom over riches. And interestingly, the one who finds wisdom never lacks wealth and honor.

The current global standard for the measurement of dates is known as the Gregorian calendar, named after Pope Gregory XIII, under whose tenure it was instituted. IS GOD SILENT OR WE ARE DEAF?

Erwin W. Lutzer in his book, Seven Reasons Why You Can Trust the Bible, narrates the story of Ingmar Bergman, a Swedish film director who one day stood next to a portrait of Christ in a cathedral in Europe and whispered, “Speak to me!” He only encountered dead silence after waiting enough while.
