Your Right to Shelter
Today is World Habitat Day. The United Nations’ (UN) World Habitat Day is annually celebrated on the first Monday of October to reflect on the state of human settlements and people’s right to sufficient shelter. It also aims to remind people that they are responsible for the habitat of future next generations.
As we remind ourselves of people's right to sufficient shelter here on earth, we must do well to also remind ourselves of the greater importance of securing a comfortable shelter for eternity.
Everyone has a right to a shelter in heaven. To claim this right, the way has been specified:
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.(John 14:6)
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. (Matthew 6:20)
Today, why don't you help someone understand their right to a comfortable, eternal shelter in heaven?
Remain inspired!
