Don't Forsake Connection
Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25)
I have personally realized that every biblically-prescribed spiritual exercise has both physical and spiritual benefits.
According to a 2018 study by the US organization AARP – which advocates for people as they age – 22 percent of American adults report being socially isolated, either often or always. This is the case all over the world.
Additionally, several research works have concurred that people who attended religious services at least once a week were less stressed and lived longer.
It is difficult to pinpoint what exactly does the trick. Is it the spiritual nourishment we receive or the connection to the brethren? It could well be these and many more that come with congregational harmony. All we know is that there is great blessing in fellowship.
Someone defined fellowship to mean "fellows in the same ship." When we share fellowship with brethren of the same faith, we receive mutual edification, and we do not struggle to have people to mourn with us in times of sorrow and to celebrate with us in our joyous moments.
Today, I urge you not to forsake connection in the house of God.
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. (Acts 2:42)
Remain inspired!
