A LONG WAY TO THE PROMISED LAND
A LONG WAY TO THE PROMISED LAND
There is a promised land for your life: where God wants to take you; what
God wants you to become and achieve. “Many are the plans in a man’s heart,” the Bible says, “nevertheless; the purpose of God shall stand.”
God’s purpose is always accomplished in the lives of His people. There is a
defined end to the life you are living which exists in God’s mind. He is not
only the architect of the world you are living in, but also of the life He has
given you. That is why you are a steward. You are taking care of something
which is not yours. You are handling something which is actually God’s.
The owner of a thing has more interest in it than its steward. I know you
want to succeed. You want to make it big in life. Right? Yes. The good news,
however, is that God is more excited and enthusiastic about your progress
and accomplishment than you think.
This scripture will shock you. “Not that I have already obtained all this, or
have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which
Christ Jesus took hold of me.” (Phil 3:12)
Do you know why Christ Jesus took hold of you? He took hold of you, so that you will be able to take hold of something you are destined to take hold of.
Pause and read over the scripture again.
You were not taken hold by Christ Jesus in vain. Your divine assignment on
this earth can never be accomplished if you are not taken hold by Christ
Jesus. Please read over the scripture once more.
The period between the day you were taken hold by Christ Jesus and the day you take hold of that which has been predestined for you to achieve is the journey.
My message now really starts. God will not parachute you at once into that place right when you are taken hold by Christ Jesus. God has designed some processes for you to go through. Did you hear Paul say ‘I press on’? You must press on to finish the journey to your destination. Your future is waiting for you. You have to press on.
Do you know that the greater the struggle before success the sweeter and more stable the success? What God has prepared for you is so great. That’s why you are experiencing what you are experiencing now. The question is, has Jesus Christ taken hold of you? If so, then you will surely take hold of that for which Christ took hold of you. Just press on. And never forget there is a promised land for your life.
