CHOOSE YOUR STAND

Joshua 24:14-15
[14]Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.

[15]And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

I was fortunately born into a Christian home. However, it was when I was a teenager that I took a personal decision to follow and serve the Lord. I have held on to that decision to this day.

As young people, we are daily confronted with many options in life. We have the options of following the ways of adulterers, fornicators, occultists, homosexuals, atheists (denouncing the existence of God), or faithfully serving the Lord.

We have seen and read about the earthly and eternal end of those who serve the Lord and those who do not.

I can promise you that serving the Lord faithfully will not be easy because that is the narrow path. At some points you will feel so lonely and discouraged. However, there are great earthly and heavenly rewards for you.

Psalms 37:25
[25]I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Revelation 21:27
[27]And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Will you temporarily follow the fleeting pleasures of this world or serve the Lord for true, lasting blessings?

I challenge you today to choose your stand!
